How PC Based Systems Work
Time America's PC Based Systems have two components:
Hardware Units
Software Package
The hardware components serve as data collection devices or "clocks". They collect punches pertaining to hours worked, lunches, breaks, jobs, department switches, etc. Since you do not need a dedicated PC to run the clocks they can be as close as two inches away or as far as another state and time zone. There are essentially five versions of data collection devices. They are the TA520, TA530, TA620, TASC and the Biometric (HP). The choices of clocks are there to allow you to find not only something in your price range but something that will help eliminate time and attendance problems.
After the "clocks" collect all the information
for the payroll, they are polled or emptied into your PC. The software package
is what takes all of this raw information and applies your companies
predefined pay rules to it. The software calculates all the information
that is pertinent for you to process your payroll and to better run your
company. The software calculates regular pay, overtime1, overtime 2 and overtime
3. It tracks vacation, sick, and personal time. It has the ability to ring bells,
open doors, job cost, budget, plus much more. This information can then be
exported to any payroll and/or accounting software. It also gives you
multitude of reports so you can better manage your time and labor. There are
three variations of software packages (TA50,
TA100, and
GENESIS) and a web based
solution to choose from, allowing you to find a package that is right for
your company.
